Greater Melbourne Hire
The cost to hire the Hot Rod for a funeral or memorial service in Melbourne and greater surrounds is $875 (incl GST).
This includes:
- Travel within 65km from the Melbourne CBD and a time frame of 3 working hours from departure of chosen funeral home or mortuary
- The hearse departing from the service, cemetery/crematorium, wake or other location as determined.
An additional cost of $60 (incl GST) for every half hour of hire (or part thereof) after this time will be incurred.
Victorian Country locations
The cost to hire the Hot Rod for a funeral or memorial service in regional country areas is $1375 (incl GST).
This includes:
- Travel within 155km from the Melbourne CBD and a time frame of 3 working hours from departure of chosen country funeral home or mortuary
- The hearse departing from the service, cemetery/crematorium, wake or other location as determined.
An additional cost of $60 (incl GST) for every half hour of hire (or part thereof) after this time will be incurred.
The Hot Rod will be considered for hire beyond the travel distance of 155km from the Melbourne CBD, with costs to be provided on enquiry.
The Hot Rod will be considered for hire for other events or situations, including ‘living wakes’. Costs will be provided on enquiry.
Inclusions
Hire of the Hot Rod hearse includes:
- Our experienced and professional hearse driver/owner and Funeral Director’s assistant. David is known for his friendly ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to help funeral directors and client families in whatever way he can.
- The provision of essential funeral equipment (church trolley, bearer bars and lowering tapes. This does not include incense, candles, tissues, easels, tablecloths, or other miscellaneous items).
- Ample room for an oversized coffin and floral tributes in the rear cabin
- The option of transporting a front seat passenger as the hearse departs the service
- If requested, a full rev of the engine and a faster drive (with discretion), or a traditional funeral motoring pace
- A ‘drive by’ of the family home or other locations (limited to two) if requested
